Wombats under your house?
Wombats are wonderfully strong and determined. They will often try (and usually succeed) to go through or under obstacles, such as fences or buildings. Wombats are also known to build their burrows under houses or along driveways.
If this sounds familiar, contact CARE to discuss your exclusion options to discourage your resident wombat from burrowing under or near your home.
Did you know?
- The trapping and relocation of wombats is illegal and inhumane. Furthermore, trapping and relocation is not a permanent solution as it does not prevent re-entry from other wombats in the future.
- Bulldozing (aka filling in) an active burrow can lead to wombats being buried alive and suffering a slow and painful death. Even if you have found an apparently vacant burrow, you must not fill it in. It is also important to note that filling in a burrow will not deter a wombat from returning.
care can help.
Through our stress-free, humane method, CARE can exclude your wombats whilst ensuring that no harm or stress is caused.
